Ajax and Joel Veltman have reached an agreement to extend his contract, which had been valid until June 30, 2020. The defender’s new agreement has been extended by one year, until June 30, 2021.
Veltman was born on January 15, 1992, in Velsen. The player attended Ajax’s youth academy starting in 2001, and made his debut in the first team on August 19, 2012 in the NEC – Ajax (1-6) match. He has played in a total of 222 matches for Ajax 1, scoring 10 times.
