Ajax and Stade de Reims have reached an agreement for the immediate transfer of Kaj Sierhuis to the French club. The sale of the striker has been agreed upon with FC Groningen, where Sierhuis has been loaned out to for the past year. The forward was still under contract with Aajx until mid-2021 and the loan-out agreement with FC Groningen had been effective until July 1, 2020.
Sierhuis (Athens, April 27, 1998) has been playing in Ajax’s youth academy since 2009. He made his debut in the first team on July 25, 2018, during the UEFA Champions league qualifying game against Sturn Graz (2-0). He’s played a total of 3 games for Ajax 1. The youth international has also played in 41 official games for the Ajax Reserves, and scored 22 goals. He also won the 2017/2018 Jupiler League championship with the Ajax Reserves.
