Sherida Spitse appeared on camera shortly after the final whistle with a positive feeling. "I think we can be very proud of what we've shown. 1-1 at Stamford Bridge is a good result for us," said the Ajax Women captain.

Despite the difficult starting point, Spitse did have some hope for a tour de force in London. "Anything is possible in football. We had a chance to go through, but knew it would be very difficult. Ultimately, we can be happy with the draw."

The captain enjoyed the UEFA Women's Champions League campaign. "With the draw for the group stage, we already knew it would be difficult. We've made some steps, and we showed that today. It was a great campaign, and hopefully we can get a bit farther next year. The focus now is on the league."
