Ashleigh Weerden

Ashleigh Weerden joined from the French club Montpellier in the summer of 2022, where she played for two years. The Amsterdam-born player started playing football at SC Buitenboys. At the age of fifteen, she moved to CTO Amsterdam. After three years at the Center for Top Sports and Education, Weerden went to FC Twente Women. She played there for three seasons, winning the Dutch Championship in 2019.

The season is now at a close. It was 2-2 in Arnhem against Vitesse. It was also the final match for John van 't Schip on the Amsterdam bench. "It is actually over. That says it all. We got what we wanted last week. Ultimately, we are pleased for the supporters that we were able to equalise in injury time."
