Highlights PEC Zwolle - Ajax | Winning start to the Eredivisie season
Ajax opened the VriendenLoterij Eredivisie season with three points. The Amsterdam side secured a 0-2 win over PEC Zwolle at the MAC³PARK Stadion. Substitutes Jorthy Mokio and Julian Brandt both found the net to make the difference. PEC Zwolle played the final half hour with ten men following a red card.
Mokio breaks deadlock as Ajax win season opener
Ajax kicked off the new VriendenLoterij Eredivisie season with a 0-2 victory away to PEC Zwolle. It took time for the visitors to break the deadlock, with Jorthy Mokio putting Ajax ahead fifteen minutes from time. Eredivisie debutant Julian Brandt then wrapped up the win deep into stoppage time.

The Irish side pulled one back in the closing stages of this UEFA Conference League third qualifying round tie. The return leg will be played on Thursday, August 13.
Ajax win first leg of tie against Shelbourne FC
Ajax recorded a 3-1 victory over Irish side Shelbourne FC at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. Mika Godts and Owen Wijndal were on target in the first half, while Kasper Dolberg added Ajax's third goal after the break. Shelbourne FC pulled one back in the final ten minutes. The return leg will take place in Dublin in a week's time.
Ajax Women turn their attention to Rangers
Ajax Women took an important step towards qualifying for the UEFA Women's Champions League on Wednesday. Anouk Bruil's side defeated Brøndby IF 2-0, and by Thursday the Amsterdam club had already shifted their focus to the next match in the qualifying tournament in Glasgow. Rangers FC await on Saturday, with a place in the third qualifying round at stake.
