Head coach Míchel Sánchez has travelled to Switzerland with a squad of 23 players for the first-leg play-off match against FC Sion in the UEFA Conference League play-offs. Jofre Torrents signed his Ajax contract on Monday and was included in a matchday squad for the first time on Wednesday. Ajax will face the Swiss side on Thursday from 20:15 at Stade de Tourbillon.

The Ajax players, led by head coach Míchel Sánchez, trained on Wednesday at the de Toekomst training complex. The session focused on the upcoming clash with FC Sion. On Thursday, the two teams will meet in Switzerland for the first play-off match in the battle for a place in the League Phase of the UEFA Conference League. Shortly after training, Ajax departed for Schiphol Airport.

Ajax has signed Valentijn van der Velde. The 19-year-old goalkeeper has put pen to paper on a contract that runs until June 30, 2028. It is his first professional contract.

Jofre Torrents is grateful to be part of Ajax. In his first interview, the Spanish defender introduces himself and looks ahead to the period ahead in Amsterdam. "I'm going to give everything I have for this club."

Ajax has reached an agreement with FC Barcelona and Jofre Torrents regarding the transfer of the defender. The 19-year-old player has signed a contract in Amsterdam that runs until June 30, 2030.

Ajax and Amber Visscher have agreed to a contract extension. The new deal for the 24-year-old defender runs until June 30, 2028. Her previous contract was due to expire on June 30, 2027.





Ajax drew 2-2 with sc Heerenveen on Sunday. The Amsterdam side took a 2-0 lead thanks to an own goal from the visitors and a fine strike from Abdellah Ouazane. However, Míchel Sánchez's side ultimately surrendered their lead.
