Debutant in the starting XI Bounida: dribbles and shots
Rayane Bounida was one of the eleven Ajacieden who were allowed to start on Tuesday evening during the UEFA Champions League match against Benfica. It marked the young Belgian’s debut in the starting line-up for Ajax 1. And he certainly made his presence felt in the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

Ajax have been unable to break the deadlock in the UEFA Champions League. Fred Grim’s side lost 0-2 to Benfica and therefore remain without points after five matchdays.

Ajax remain on zero points in the UEFA Champions League after defeat against Benfica
Ajax also lost their fifth match in the League Phase of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday evening. Benfica won in the Johan Cruijff ArenA by 0-2 through goals conceded early and late in the match. In between, the Ajax players showed a decent display, but once again a result was not to be.

Ajax completed a training session on Monday at the de Toekomst training complex in the build-up to their European showdown at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. The Amsterdam side are preparing for Tuesday evening’s UEFA Champions League match against Benfica, which kicks off at 18:45.
