






Ajax Women will face Real Madrid in the play-offs for a place in the league phase of the UEFA Women’s Champions League. This became clear on Tuesday during the draw at UEFA headquarters. The decisive two-legged qualifier will begin on August 26 with a home fixture, followed by the return leg in Madrid on September 2.

Ajax opened the VriendenLoterij Eredivisie season with three points. The Amsterdam side secured a 0-2 win over PEC Zwolle at the MAC³PARK Stadion. Substitutes Jorthy Mokio and Julian Brandt both found the net to make the difference. PEC Zwolle played the final half hour with ten men following a red card.
