Ajax and FC Nantes have reached an agreement for the transfer of Kolbeinn Sigthórsson. The striker had been under contract with Ajax until June 30, 2016, but will leave directly for his new French club.
On July 30, 2011, the now 25 year-old Icelander made his debut on Ajax’s first team. The international played a total of 106 official matches in Ajax’s first team, scoring 34 times.
Sigthórsson won the national championship three times in Amsterdam (2012, 2013,2014) and also won the Johan Cruijff Shield in 2013.
