Former Ajax player Piet Keizer will be technical advisor to AFC Ajax from 1 April 2006. Keizer has been scout for the club since 2001. In his new position the legendary left winger will report to the technical director martin van Geel and he will advise him on general technical policy and the execution thereof.
Keizer made his debut in Ajax 1 on 5 February 1961 in a home match against Feyenoord. The popular left winger played his last match on 13 October 1974. With Ajax he enjoyed great success in the seventies, winning the European Champions Cup in 1971, 1972 and 1973. Keizer's name is fourth on the list of the 'Club of 100' with no less than 490 matches in the red and white. He scored 189 goals for Ajax.
