Ajax and Werder Bremen have reached agreement about the transfer of Petri Pasanen. The Finnish player himself has also reached agreement with the club from the German Bundesliga. The agreement is effective immediately.
,,It seemed that Pasanen would not get much playing time so we are very happy for him to get this opportunity'', said managing director Arie van Eijden.
Petri Pasanen signed a contract for Ajax in 2000. He made his debut for the club in the league match against Az on 17 September 2000. Pasanen won the national title with Ajax in 2002 and made a vital contibution to last season's championship. Pasanen played in 79 official matches for Ajax.
The defender from Finland played the second half of the 2003-2004 season on loan for English side Portsmouth.
