Ajax's coach Ronald Koeman told the press on Friday that four players are doubtful for the away match against NAC. Jari Litmanen will be in the squad on Sunday, but not likely as a starter.
Pasanen, Galásek, Maxwell and Van Damme are, all because of injuries, unsure of a spot in the squad on Sunday. In the last training on Saturday the technical and medical staff will decide who is fit enough to travel with the team to Breda. Jari Litmanen will be among the final eighteen players. The Finnish midfielder played one half with Ajax 2 on Thursday, in which he scored in a 3-0 victory over Feyenoord 2, and he needs more playing time to get back to complete fitness.
Koeman: ,,If Litmanen is fit enough, he can be of great value to us, especially in the final phase of the competition. Now, he's not fit enough to start. He needs training and as many minutes as possible."
NAC have not lost a home match this season. Koeman therefore does not expect an easy match for Ajax. ,,NAC has given the league's top teams a lot of problems this year. But we know that, so we will be prepared.''
