Holland under 20 reached the quarter finals of the World Cup with a 3-0 win against Chile on Wednesday. Ryan Babel, who scored the first goal, Hedwiges Maduro, Urby Emanuelson and Kenneth Vermeer all played.
Holland took an early lead through a goal by Babel but then faded fast. The home team saw its favourite style of play disrupted by the South Americans, who on the other hand were hardly given a chance to fire at the Dutch goal.
When Chile put the Dutch under more pressure, Quincy Owusu-Abeyie took his team by the hand late in the match. He scored the second goal after 74 minutes. Substitue Collins John made it 3-0 in the 80th minute.
