An Ajax delegation met in Barcelona on Friday. Attending this meeting, which took place at member of honour and Supervisory Board member Johan Cruijff’s office, were, in addition to Cruijff, fellow board members Steven ten Have, Edgar Davids, and Paul Römer. Several commission members were also present at the meeting, to ensure that this Supervisory Board was formed, and that Cruijff once again attained a position within Ajax.
Chairman Ten Have summarized the discussion as ‘clarifying, and intensive’. Ten Have: “There’s nothing concrete to report. We were received very well. It was a long meeting, lasting almost five hours. It was great that all of the members who were involved in the preliminary work were here. They summarized all of the agreements which were made before we joined, and which form an important basis for us. Everything has now been put in perspective.”
“Some intensive discussions took place about the next steps that we need to take. The entire meeting was positive. The Supervisory Board has only been on the job for three weeks. I’m happy that we had this discussion with this group, and that everyone was involved. As a Supervisory Board, we will take the following steps in our monitoring and advisory role.
