Leonardo experienced his first work day in the Amsterdam ArenA. The Brazilian started the day with a run and in the afternoon Ajax presented the forward with number 23 to the media.
In a crowded press room, technical director Martin van Geel, coach Henk ten Cate and Leonardo Vitor Santiago raised their glasses to a successful. The 23-year old technical wonder posed proudly in the Ajax shirt. The former player of NAC Breda, Feyenoord and Brazilian club Nova Sofra can play all positions up front.

Technical director Martin van Geel is happy with the latest signing: ,,Leonardo is a quick and technicaly skilled player who can play all attacking positions. He can also beat a man in a one on one situation and that is important for us."
Leonardo himself has much faith in his future at Ajax: ,,I don't want to look at the past, but to the future. I got much trust and a good feeling about Ajax in the talks with Martin van Geel and Henk ten Cate. My family says that my game suits Ajax the best."
After the presentation Leonardo quickly joined his team. The new Ajax player ended his first work day in special fashion; with a flight to South Africa, where Henk ten Cate's team holds a training camp. Ajax and Ajax Cape Town face each other in a friendly in Cape Town on Sunday. A good opportunity for Leonardo to show of his skills as an Ajax player.
