Ajax Cape Town came from a goal down to grab a share of the spoils in their Castle Premiership fixture against Bloemfontein Celtic at the VodaCom Park Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
With a huge and passionate home support, games at the Free State side's fortress are never easy and the Cape Team would surely have been happy with a point, although it sees them fall further behind in the league title race challenge.
Phunya Sele Sele had the better opportunities to score, but by and large they were wasteful of their chances.
It took until the 57th minute to open their account when Lehlohonolo Seema won the ball in the midfield before unleashing a brilliantly-struck unstoppable long range shot.
The Cape side refused to give up and managed to earn themselves a point when experienced Zimbabwean striker Wilfred Mugeyi beat the offside trap in the 67th minute and put the ball in the back of the net for the equaliser.
The result sees the two teams maintain their current positions on the Castle Premiership log: Celtic are in fifth place, while the Urban Warriors occupy sixth position.
