Ajax will start preparations for the 2014/2015 season on June 23 in Amsterdam. The national champion will prepare at home in the first week, and will play a friendly on June 28 against SDC Putten.
In the second week, Ajax travels to Austria for another friendly. The opponent is still to be determined. After the Amsterdam team has worked on its form during the third week at de Toekomst, the customary training camp at De Lutte will take place.
Just like last year, the plan is for Ajax to play two matches in one day once again this year, so that a group of around twenty players can experience the same intensity of training build-up. Ajax will definitely play one friendly match each weekend during the pre-season.
The first official match of the season will be a replay of the cup final on August 3. In the season opening for the Johan Cruijff Trophy, national champion Ajax will face cup winner PEC Zwolle.
More information will follow about dates and opponents on the website.
