Ajax and Coca-Cola Enterprises Netherlands signed an agreement this week. Both parties are working together in an Official Suppliership which was already operational last season, and will be effective until June 30, 2015.
John Brands, Country Director of Coca-Cola Enterprises Netherlands, is pleased with the partnership. “Coca-Cola embraces the football world. The connection between the brands is then made very quickly. We’re proud that the famous Ajax youth academy has selected our sports drink, Aquarius, in order to give the players energy and especially to keep them hydrated as they give top performances. We’re looking forward to an athletic partnership.”
Edwin van der Sar, director of Marketing at Ajax, is equally pleased to be working with the multinational: “It’s great that we have added a big name like Coca-Cola to our list of official suppliers. At Sportpark de Toekomst, Aquarius is available for the youth teams and the women’s team, and Chaudfontaine water is available for all teams. Aquarius is also linked to our international tournament, the Aegon Future Cup, as an extra sponsor. With Coca-Cola, Ajax’s sponsorship pyramid is now one premium brand richer.”
