Ajax has asked FIFA for assistance in the matter regarding the transfer of Brazilian player Giovanni Manson Ribeiro. The permanent transfer of the player’s registration has been obstructed by Santos FC and the Brazilian football association (CBF) for some time now.
CBF is refusing the release of the International Transfer Certificate of Giovanni and as a result the completion of this transfer is delayed. As Ajax and the player disagree with the position of Santos FC and CBF, the club is now asking FIFA for help. Ajax is convinced that the case will be solved like this and that Giovanni will be an eligible Ajax player soon. Giovanni Manson Ribeiro, playing under the colloquial name Giovanni, is an attacking midfielder. He was born on 31 January 2002 in Bauru, Brazil, and has represented his country in various national youth teams. As expected, Giovanni will start training with Jong Ajax once the decision of FIFA is obtained.
