Ajax will face Brøndby IF in the third preliminary round of the Champions League. The Danish champions also won the second leg of the second qualifying round against Dinamo Tbilisi. The team of coach Michael Laudrup, former Ajax player, won in Copenhagen by 3-1 after winning the first match in Georgia by 2-0.
Halfway, Brøndby IF were leading 2-0 through two goals by Lorentzen. Kamper scored the third Danish goal in the closing stages. Grigalashvili scored for Tblisi.
Ajax and Brøndby have agreed to play the first match in Denmark on 10 August. The return in the ArenA is to weeks later. The winer of the tie qualifies for the group stages of the Champions League.
