DRC international Mulekelayi Kanku scored a 79th minute goal to give Ajax Cape Town a 2-1 victory over Dynamos in a bruising encounter at the Giyani Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The result sees the Urban Warriors cement themselves at the top of the log with two wins from two games, having also scored five goals in the process.
Dynamos dominated the early exchanges, but failed to capitalise on their chances. Adam Ndlovu was guilty of two early missed chances- the first in the third minute from a powerful strike which went just wide, while another shot from close range in the 10th minute also failed to find the back of the net for the home team.
The Cape Town club managed to fight back and went into the half-time 1-0 up thanks to a Joseph Ngake goal in the 39th minute. Ngake has now scored four goals in two games after his hat-trick against Hellenic in Ajax's opening league game.
Dynamos came out fighting in the second stanza and immediately put themselves back in contention when Ndlovu equalised in the 46th minute.
The home team had several more chances to go into the lead but were made to rue their mistakes when Kanku scored what proved to be the winner for Ajax with just over 10 minutes remaining.
