Ajax arrived at hotel De Bloemenbeek in De Lutte on Monday morning. The bus turned into the parking lot, which is very familiar to Ajax, at around eleven-thirty a.m.
A small group was on hand to welcome Ajax to De Bloemenbeek hotel, and the youngest guests, dressed in Ajax jerseys, took advantage of the opportunity to hunt for autographs from the famous Ajax players. A warm welcome was also reserved for Frank de Boer, who has prepared for the new season in De Lutte both as a player, and now for his fifth consecutive season as the coach.
Xavier Mous, Sheraldo Becker, Anwar El Ghazi, Queensy Menig and South African intern Haashim Domingo were included in the selection. The five players from the Ajax Reserves will only be training on Monday, and will return to Amsterdam that same evening.
The first training takes place this afternoon at two-thirty at local SV De Lutte. Ricardo van Rhijn and Viktor Fischer are still in Amsterdam, working on their recoveries. Naturally, World Cup players Jasper Cillessen, Daley Blind and Joel Veltman have not yet joined the group.
Ajax will be in De Lutte until Friday, and friendly matches will follow on Saturday against Achilles ’29 and Real Sociedad.
