It is with an eye on the future that Ajax and adidas introduce the new away kits for 2020-2021. The jersey is a mix of blue tones with a modern interpretation of the types of graphic patterns which were popular in the eighties and nineties. Red and white details offer a contrast pop. The new training collection, which has the same color story, will be launched at the same time as the away kit.
Red, white and blue throughout the entire kit
The red Ajax logo on the chest is eye-catching, as are the red name and number prints. Both the adidas 3 stripes and the 3 championship stars on the jersey are white, just as are the various sponsorship logos and three Andreas crosses in the neck. The shorts and socks are dark blue with white accents. The Dutch tri-color is subtly present throughout the kit.
Ready for Sport
The launch of the new Ajax away kit is part of adidas’ global campaign called ‘Ready for Sport’. The campaign portrays a situation in which athletes sports lovers can finally play their sports again after a long time, and fans can watch their heroes’ performances on the field. 'Ready for Sport’ will be rolled out by adidas for all sports and disciplines. The Ajax and adidas campaign features Donny van de Beek, Daley Blind, Kelly Zeeman, Quincy Promes, Jonna van de Velde and Ryan Gravenberch, who each prepare for the new season in his or her own way.
Now available online
The entire away kit is available online now via Ajax’s webshop and adidas.nl. The collection is also available as of today in the ArenA Fanshop, the Kalverstraat Fanshop, and the Bataviastad Fanshop.
