Peter Bosz was a relieved man after the Go Ahead Eagles – Ajax game. He was happy with the win in Deventer (0-3): “If you look at the situation we’re in, then it was important to win. It wasn’t an option, we just had to do it. And it feels great that we did.”
Captain Davy Klaassen, a key player with two goals, joined his coach. “It’s great to win since things haven’t been going well with the club. I think we did well. In the beginning, we had a few mishaps, but after that, we didn’t run into any trouble. This can give us confidence.”
'Good and well-deserved win'
However, Bosz feels that the Ajacieds can do better. “If we are doing well, then the score should be much higher. But all in all, this is a good, and well-deserved, win. It’s normal that the guys are relieved.”
Thanks to this win, Ajax goes into the interland period on a higher note. Bosz doesn’t appreciate the win in the Adelaarshorst more because of the team’s recent difficulties. “When you post a bad result, as a coach, you’ll stew on that for the entire fourteen-day interland break. That’s always the case, not only because of the situation we’re in.”
