Ajax and Feyenoord share the leading position in the Dutch league. Both the team from Amsterdam and the team from Rotterdam have gathered 24 points in ten matches. Ajax are in first place because of a better goal difference.

,,Feyenoord are a solid team, a good collective’’, Koster said about Sunday's opponent. ,,At home they have not conceded a goal yet. But we always create opportunities. We have to prevent that Feyenoord lull us to sleep, after which their forwards strike.’’

Urby Emanuelson trained with the group the past few days and Koster assumes the left flanker will be able to play on Sunday. Emanuelson can play as left back or left midfielder. Jan Vertonghen has done well as left back the past games. Koster: ,,With Jan as left defender we have gained another option.’’

In the last match, against Roda JC, Koster quite a few young talents. Jan-Arie van der Heijden made his debut in Ajax 1 and by now hardly anyone was surprised to see Siem de Jong in the starting eleven.
,,When you give young guys a chance, it is partly because of the circumstances. Injuries can force you to choose for youth. It is an advantage that I have worked with youth players as coach of Young Ajax for three months. I know exactly how these guys work.’’

Koster hopes to add some good players in the winter break. The interim coach is in talks with technical director Martin van Geel, amongst others. ,,We want to strengthen our team in certain positions. We agree which positions have priority.’’
