Lindenbergh started his professional career at De Graafschap in 1994. He played six seasons for that club. Before that, Lindenbergh was part of the youth development program of Ajax. He joined AZ in 1999, where he also stayed for six seasons. In 2005 he transferred to Ajax, where he played 50 matches.
