Van Basten selects five Ajax players

Holland coach Marco van Basten has again selected five players of Ajax: Maarten Stekelenburg, Nigel de Jong, Johnny Heitinga, Wesley Sneijder and Rafael van der Vaart. The national squad will stay together until the friendly against Liechtenstein, on Friday 3 September.

There will be 23 players in the squad and that number will be reduced to 18 after the friendly match against Liechtenstein. On Wednesday 8 September Holland play the first qualifying match for the World Cup against the Czech Republic in the Amsterdam ArenA.

Belgium's national team coach Aimé Anthuenis has callued up two Ajax players for the World Cup qualifier against Lithuania on 4 September. Wesley Sonck and Tom Soetaers will try to earn their respective 32nd and eighth cap. Former Ajax player Jelle van Damme is also part of the squad.
