Keizer: ‘Zeefuik is further than Orejuela’

Marcel Keizer feels that Deyovaisio Zeefuik has come further in his development than Luis Orejuela.  The coach expressed this during the weekly press meeting at de Toekomst sports complex.  Keizer will need to piece together a puzzle leading up to the match at AZ due to the absences of Max Wöber (injury) and Joël Veltman (suspension).

“Deyovaisio is doing well for us at the moment.  He’s able to secure very well because he’s spent years in Ajax’s youth academy.  This is still something that Luis is working on”, explained Keizer.

Language barrier
Next to that, Orejuela isn’t yet fluent in English. “He takes English classes with David Neres and Mateo Cassierra.  It’s difficult to communicate since he doesn’t master the language yet, and it takes longer be able to make yourself understood”, says Keizer.

'Max has gone to the hospital for an examination'

Wöber
The problems on defense arise from Joël Veltman’s suspension – the player earned his 5th yellow card of the season against Excelsior – and Max Wöber’s injury.  The Austrian appeared to have twisted his knee during the game against the Kralingen team, and had to be substituted.

The injury appeared serious. On the day after the game, Keizer was unable to give any concrete information.  “Max has gone to the hospital for examination, and we’ll know the results this afternoon.  At that point, we’ll have more information about the seriousness of his injury.”
