With two matches remaining, Ajax still trail PSV by five points in the league table. As expected, both Ajax and PSV won. ,,But we keep our spirits up", coach Adrie Koster said after Ajax defeated De Graafschap by 4-1.

Ajax started as if the team still believed in the Dutch title. De Graafschap were put under pressure in a high pace. After four minutes, Ajax scored. George Ogararu crossed and Klaas Jan Huntelaar scored his 30th goal of the season and his 100th of his league career.

'The Hunter' took little time to enjoy his milestones. After he had seen Luis Suarez miss after a great move, Huntelaar himself doubled the margin. Suarez crossed, the striker headed it in: 2-0.

,,Instead of keeping it up, we took our foot off the gas", said Adrie Koster. ,,You shouldn't concede goals against De Graafschap.'' But that is what happened, when Niklas Tarvajärvi scored in the 32nd minute. To prevent that De Graafschap could go into halftime with a good feeling, Huntelaar widened the gap again. ,,That was an important goal", Koster said.

,,In the second half, we scored only once and that was not enough for us and for the fans'', Koster said. Only for a fine goal by Kenneth Perez, assist by Urby Emanuelson, the fans came out of their seats. Ajax got no further than 4-1. PSV won too, and the gap is still five points between the two teams, with only six points to be earned.
