For the next three seasons, Ajax and Cheng Shin Tire (CST) will work together in an Official Sponsorship. Taiwanese CST was founded in 1967, and sets the worldwide standards for car and bicycle tires. Together with Ajax’s management, CST signed an international agreement today.
Marketing Director Edwin van der Sar is pleased: “CST wants to increase its name recognition via Ajax. And it’s interesting for Ajax because we want to gain a stronger foothold in China, and CST can support us in that. We’ve recently seen that Ajax is very popular in China with the TV talent show ‘Football Dream’. This partnership underlines that even more, but there is still much ground to be gained.”
According to CST Holland CEO Jack Duis, Ajax, thanks to its strong presence and big successes, will be a fantastic ambassador which will help to increase CST’s name recognition in Europe: “We’re proud to link CST to the most successful football club in the Netherlands. From our European headquarters in De Kwakel (near Amsterdam), we will, together with Ajax, create even more enthusiasm for our CST brand in the car and bicycle tire market”, says Duis.
