Cedric van der Gun on loan to ADO Den Haag

ADO Den Haag will hire Cedric van der Gun from Ajax for the remainder of the season. Both clubs have reached an agreement. Van der Gun is expected to reach a personal agreement with the club tomorrow. As usual, Ajax do not disclose financial details of the agreement.

It is the third time that Ajax hire out Van der Gun. In the 1999-2000 season he played ten league matches for FC Den Bosch under coach Mark Wotte. Last season Van der Gun (again under Mark Wotte) played on loan with Willem II, where he scored 6 times in 30 league matches.

The loan brings Cedric van der Gun back to his birthplace Den Haag. He was trained at HVV and ADO Den Haag. In 2000 Van der Gun was chosen Sportsman of the Year in Den Haag.

Cedric van der Gun won three national championships with Ajax. In 2002 he won the title with the first team, in 2001 and 2002 with Ajax 2. The forward played 35 league matches for Ajax, scoring 9 goals. He also played 3 UEFA Cup matches in the 2000-2001 season, adding 4 goals in those matches.

Cedric van der Gun earned 39 caps as a youth international. He scored 11 goals in the orange strip.
