Boilesen debuts and Eriksen scores

Nicolai Boilesen made his debut with the Danish national team on Wednesday evening. Ajax’s 19 year old left back played for the entire practice interland against Scotland (2-1 defeat). Christian Eriksen scored the only Danish goal in Glasgow. Thulani Serero (assist) and Ismail Aissati (debut) stood out in the South Africa and Morocco matches.

Christian Eriksen scored for Denmark in the practice interland against Scotland. Ajax’s Danish midfielder evened the score against Scotland shortly after his team mate William Kvist Jörgensen had scored into his own goal. The Scot Robert Snodgrass brought the game to its final 2-1 score right after the break. Nicolai Boilesen made his debut in Glasgow. Ajax’s defender started on left back and played for the whole match, as did Eriksen.

The Slovenia – Belgium practice interland remained scoreless. Toby Alderweireld was the only Ajax contributor in this interland, which took place in the Slovernian city of Celje. Jan Vertonghen wasn’t available to the Belgian coach. Ajax’s captain remained in Amsterdam, recovering from a groin injury.

Thulani Serero, and South Africa, posted a 3-0 win over Burkina Faso. Ajax’s new acquisition started on the squad in Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg. In front of around 10.000 spectators, Serero assisted the third South African goal.

Earlier in the evening, Daley Blind, and Jong Oranje, suffered a loss. In the Swedish city of Landskrona, the Swedish youth team were too strong for the Dutch U-21, defeating them 3-0 in the practice match. Blind started on the squad and was substituted midway through the match by Ties Evers (De Graafschap). Jong Oranje played with ten men for the entire second half after a red card for captain Bram Nuytinck (NEC).

Senegal – Morocco ended up with a 0-2 practice win for Morocco. Ajax players Ismail Aissati and Mounir El Hamdaoui started out on the bench in Senegal. Aissati made his debut on the Moroccan national team in the seventieth minute.

Mats Rits was in action on Wednesday with the Belgian U-19. On the Sporting Loekeren field, the Belgians played to a 1-1 tie against Denmark. Rits played the last fifteen minutes of the match.
