Ajax Summer Training Camp in Mayrhofen

Ajax Summer Training Camp in Mayrhofen

Ajax will be training in the Zillertal from 4 to 10 July 2016. This will be the first training camp of season 2016-2017. Ajax will be situated in Mayrhofen in Hotel Elisabeth for one week and will train in Zillertal of which the Zillertal Tourism Board says β€œIt’s the most versatile valley!”

Edwin van Sar Ajax director, comments on the training camp: ,,Ajax are familiar with Austria for years and very enthusiastic about the facilities in Zillertal. After a pre-check in Austria of our technical staff confirmed that the Mayrhofen / Hippach region corresponds exactly to our needs for the first training camp in the 2016/17 season. Hotel Elisabeth in Mayrhofen is a perfect hotel and features a relaxed atmosphere also the necessary rest. This is necessary for this Ajax-training camp, which is the start for our further season. Good training and hotel facilities are very important for our technical staff, but also travelling to our training fields by bike is a very pleasant thought. Overall we are pleased with the fact that Zillertal wants to give us a warm welcome. The region offers a wide range of accommodations: from luxury hotels to several bed and breakfasts. Our fans are more than welcome to travel with us."

CEO of Zillertal Tourism Board, Gernot Paesold: ,,It is no coincidence that the professionals of the successful Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam will be completing their summer training camp in Zillertal for the first time. With its optimal altitude and fresh mountain air, the valley offers the best training conditions for the coming season. We are happy that Ajax Amsterdam checked the infrastructure for their requirement profile and found it to be perfect. The situation of the stadium in the holiday region Mayrhofen / Hippach in the middle of the glorious Zillertal 3000-metre mountain region is ideal. It is a great advantage that there are many further opportunities for group-dynamic mountain adventures and sustainable team building very near the practice pitch such as rafting, canyoning and of course mountain biking.”
