Ajax and FC Copenhagen reach agreement for the transfer of Victor Jensen

Ajax and FC Copenhagen have reached an agreement for the transfer of Victor Jensen.  The attacking midfielder will soon be signing a contract that takes effect on July 1, 2017, for three seasons, until June 30, 2020.

Jensen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on February 8, 2000.  The 17 year-old youth international came from the Danish club FC Copenhagen.  Starting in the 2017-2018 season, he will join the Ajax U19s.

Compliments to John Steen Olsen
Director of player policy Marc Overmars: “It’s great that we were able to sign this great talent.  Compliments to our Danish scout John Steen Olsen.  Thanks to his efforts, Jensen is coming to Amsterdam.  Starting next season, he’ll join our academy’s flagship team, the U19s.”

Many Danes have preceded him at Ajax
Viktor Jensen: “I’m very pleased and, moreover, proud that I will be playing for Ajax.  It is a great club with a beautiful history.  So many Danish players have gone before me at Ajax.  My goal is to join the first team as soon as possible and to succeed at the club.  I also want to thank FC Copenhagen, without them I would never have taken this great step in my career.”
