Ajax and Alborg well-matched

Ajax tied its friendly match against Aalborg, 2-2. On the Rijnsburg Boys field, Lasse Schöne and Danny Bakker scored for Frank de Boer’s team.

Thomas Enevoldsen put Denmark’s champion in the lead in the first half. Lasse Schöne ensured the tying goal with a beautiful free kick before the break. After an hour, 9 Ajax Reserves players were brought in. They played well. Via Danny Bakker, it was even 2-1 for Ajax fifteen minutes before time. Unfortunately, Ajax couldn’t hold on to its lead. Ajax got a penalty just before the end, and Nicklas Helenias took full advantage of it.

Earlier today, Ajax played (with a different squad, but the same substitute players) a friendly against the German team Hönnepel. That match was won 6-0, thanks in part to one goal by Bakker, who scored twice in two different matches for Ajax 1 on the same day.
