Ajax Camps popular with kids abroad

This summer, the Ajax Camps will be held once again at de Toekomst sports park.  500 boys and girls from abroad between the ages of 6 and 16 have already signed up.

Interest in the Ajax Camps continues to grow in other countries.  Some kids come to de Toekomst specifically for the Camp, for others it’s a part of their holidays, and others have family living in the Netherlands.

There are 65 nationalities among the 500 foreign participants of the Camp.  They come from anywhere between Sydney and New York, from Hong Kong to Johannesburg.  The young football fanatics know how to find de Toekomst.  With five hundred participants, last year’s total has already been surpassed.

During the Ajax International Camps, the language spoken is English, and only kids from abroad are admitted.  For some of them, this is reason enough to participate in the regular Camps in order to made Dutch friends or to learn the language.  On the field, the language is of little importance.  Kids help each other and explain very well among each other, which creates close teams during the week.  Many participants see each other once again the following year at the Ajax Camp.
